I am currently searching the market for cheap, high-quality race competition/street seats. Somthing like Sparco, Tenzo, or the sort but cheaper. Anybody got good ideas and sites to check for what I'm looking for? Also, 4-point harnesses are needed. Thanks.

Can I use the brackets in my car right now if I get the Tenzo, the cheapest ones on wholehyper.com? Or do I need to buy brackets and sliders? Thanks.

I just put the tenzo rally seats in my talon and i like the look and feel of them, i know you can buy aftermarket brackets for some cars, i just got a friend of mine to make temporary brackets for my seats, it took many hours to do!

Go to ardperformance.com and look at the shogun racing seats they look like the sparco torinos and they are very cheap. The sliders come with them too.

Okay, so I checked out the shogun formula racing seats and they look like what I want but how much do they weigh? Because they are reclinable they must weight a little bit more. Is installation into our DSM's difficult. Thanks, just need these questions answered before I buy them. Also, the shogun 4-point harnesses, how hard would that be to also install? I have a 90 Laser.

I dont really dont know how much they weigh, but I know they are cheap as hell. As far as installation goes it shouldnt be to difficult. There are only four bolts holding the seats in so I guess you just take your old ones out and bolt these in.

What makes the Shogun seats so cheap? Where are you getting your Corbeau Forza's? I want the seats to hug me hella for spirited driving.

I've had them for about 4 months and i havent noticed any color change yet

OMP and MOMO seats are good also, both used in wrc cars.
Don't know where you guys there in US could get them though.

This is totally wrong, you need to make custom brackets to mount the sliders to, or use Corbeau or Tenzo brackets IF they work w/ a particular seat. You cannot use the stock DSM equipment b/c the brackets and sliders are integrated. This is on a 2g of course, but I would think the 1g is similar.

Dont' have them yet. I know someone with a dealer account.. but I since I'm only getting a drivers seat I may spluge on a nice sparco.

Ok, but your prob a lil bit older than me and have more money/hook ups. Do you have any other ideas of what other 1G DSMer's have in their cars?

Not sure about 1g's. I don't even know many 2g's with race seats.

Well I really need some race seats in my 1G and don't want to waste my money on crap but don't have $1,000 to spend on two seats and two sets of 4-points and brackets/sliders, etc. So any help would be awesome. Thanks

ebay. they have some NEX racing seats that come with the brackets. Price is around 300 for a pair. Only bad thing is they don't recline.
