i've got a red 97 with the stock ally rims.. i was thinking of paiting them black but i did some paintshop work and it really didnt look that great :\ Any other ideas for colors that would still fit with a red/black color scheme? Maybe red but.... that's a lot of red.

photoshop doesnt really do anything justice. i painted my wheels black and left the polished lip on mine. looks 783946598723678562375628735697834659872365987236 times better. you should do it to yours.. it takes like no effort. very easy diy

it'd be my first major paint job. Would a total amatuer like me be able to get that shiny gunmetal effect?

if its just a matter of preping, and spraying the paint on right then yes.. but any extra steps for that "right" look and i'll prob mess them up -_- dont hate:rolleyes: im just scared:shhh:

just prep your shit correctly. and then when your done spraying your wheels your color youd like. spray some clear coat to prevent chipping

sounds good, next free weekend i have, i'll do it with a friend. Look forward to pics^^

black powdercoated on a red 2g looks nice. search the gallery people have the same scheme
