CF popups for 90-91?

I post on another board and was thinking about getting a CF hood. 91TSIGuy's car is the same color scheme as mine, except I have 20% tint. My friend chopped a picture and made the top of the popups CF, and it looks 1000x better. Looks more like a two-tone paintjob w/ everything black up top.

Just in case you guys were wondering what it looks like. Does anybody make anything like this?

Do a search for theboogieman. He posted a thread earlier that was shut down by a mod. frankscustomfiberlass will be making them.

that car looks good, but the fmic cut out...it makes the car look like its a hair lip...

The car looks fine... even with the cut bumper, which is a performance necessity. I can live with that.

even if no one makes any carbon fiber flip ups you could still wrap the top with a carbon fiber decal. You can find some pretty decent ones on Ebay. I know...I know.... VINYL?? Yes it is ment more for small interior peices but I bet if you installed it nicely with a hair dryer and some patience it would look great! PLUS its like $30 for 6 feet!

This is exactly what I considered but if you REALLY think about it.....it'll look like ass in person.

The pattern will not match. Look at fake carbon stuff and then look at real carbon. Obvious differences. That's why the fake stuff looks fake and everyone knows it.

true but its all right for some applications where no carbon fiber pieces are made. I agree though it looks nothing like the real carbon fiber.
