hey,
i purchased exel MIMI rims from wheelmax.com last summer. had them on for 4 months then went away from winter storage. this is the 2nd month i'm riding on them this year.

all i can say is i'm pretty pissed. i cleaned them off today and the road debris that was stuck to them PITTED the polished lip. it looks good from far away but it looks like A$$ when close. i'll have pics up later but i'd just like to let you know that these rims are kinda disappointing.

oh, and yes, the debris was on there for about a week before i got to cleaning

The debris you're talking about wouldn't happen to be rotor/pad flakes would it? I know when I ate some brake pads awhile back, the hot metal that flaked off pitted into the lip of my front wheel but after scrubbing with Mother's Mag & Aluminum polish a few times they came clean.

i dont know what it was but it wasn't good stuff :(

i'm sure i should rephrase my above post. the lip was pitted and peeled! i just checked again and it looks like the lip was painted/polished. and the top layer was taken off with my cleaning.. how fugly. and i only cleaned itw ith a sponge too...

if u decide to keep those rims and maybe jsut want them to look nice id recomend trying to paint them yourself theres alot of high heat/wheel typwe [aints out there and im REALLY suprised how nice it made my stock rims look . atleast suprised enough tell i buy some 17's LOL thanks for the update

it's been considered.. but who knows. kinda sad to see them flake like that because ever since i got them i park like a little bi*** OMG no curbage no nothing.. FARK!

oh well.. i think im gonna sell these in a couple months and go with fn-01r's,.... yum

They should have a warranty against those kinds of defects atleast for a year... Call them up.
