Is there some "miracle product" out there for making faded plastic stuff shiney again? In particular, the black plastic piece in the driver side front bumper on a 2G. The piece that's not there on the passenger side because of the intercooler. Mine is all faded and gray looking.

I remember I used to see infomercials for stuff that they would use to make a 30 year old fiberglass boat look like new. Then again, that was an infomercial.

Anybody have any secrets? I tried some armor-all type stuff (formula 2001 or something?) and it seemed to make no difference.

Take it out Jim. There's no reason to run it at all ... taking it out will make it look 100x better then simply cleaning it.

If you really want, I have one (practically new) I'll sell you for like 5 bucks.

Let me know.

i heard that the silver cleaning product works great on the yellow headlights to turn them clear again..
i think it will work on other plastics...

also wax/gloss the plastic after u clean it..

Holy shit. I just tried Mothers B2B on that area under the windshied wipers but behind the hood. Works ####ing wonders. My car is partying llike its 1995. again. I'm gonna do all the weatherstripping lata
