Who makes the Best BOV? SOund, appearance, etc? Greddy, Blitz, Turbo Xs?

HKS SSQV has changable inserts for different sound, only two I think, one whoosh sound and one chirp sound. I would go with that one because of its push/pull type valve for low and high boost plus it is HKS.

Other than that I would go with a Tial.

Gredy type S = type S-hit

HKS and Tial seem to be the most preferred. I have an HKS because the design of the HKS is such that the pressure in the IC pipe actually serves to hold the valve closed, as opposed to most others, which use spring/diagphram pressure to keep the valve shut. I am personally VERY pleased with my SSQV.

I've had the Hks SSQV on my GTi, it sounded awesome and worked great. Now I have the Turbo XS H-RFL BOV. It's really loud, so loud in fact that I almost blew out my ear drum. I and love it!

But in the end i'd go with the SSQV.

I am also about to get rid of my Turbo XS type H, yay it holds boost and all but one prob, you cant vent it back into the intake and I want to do whats right for my car.I bought it originally because my stocker was leaking and it was the only one any local shops had so I figured why not.Well I could have cared less where it vented then, I mean the car doesnt stall or anything but my MPG suffered and I am picky so I want to vent back into intake. So I think either the HKS with the recirc kit or a 1st gen bov will work for now also..anyone want to trade? Later Corey

Have you ever heard a Blitz SS BOV ? I have had mine for 2 & 1/2 years
now & I still love it today as much as I loved it almost 3 years ago.
:D Guaranted to scare punk hondas , children , most adults, & last but not least, punk high school kids waiting @ the bus stop.:D

LOL:rolleyes:

Yes the Blitz is by far the best sounding Ive heard. My brother has one on his SR20DET, he vents, but it doesnt chirp, just a really long and LOUD pushing of air...:dsm:

I have the turboxs rfl and it is great it holds the boost and sounds loud as hell. scars the old women of the local european towns. And scars away all the loosers

if you want a wistle/highpitch sound a long with the normal pssssssh... then go with hks.. the more you boost.. the louder/highpitch it will be.. guaranteed to make people go.. OoOoOOo, AhHhHh, and WTF!

The HKS is so damn played out. Just about every ricer with a turbo has or wants one. Makes me sick all these turbo dsm's with vented HKS's and they don;t know or don't car that the car is actually slower. I thought it sounded cool 4 years ago, it grew very old on me now.

oh c-on now, if you run it with a vpc or a stand alone it doesnt make the car slower. how ever there is a whole diffrent thred for that topic. ne way I have had the greddy type-s (sucked), the hks typr r (really sucked), hks ssq (cool but leaked at high boost levels) an apexi twin chamber (nice but it leaked too), and the last bovI'll buy an hks type-2
basicly the ssq but with out two valves. only one valve and it holds very well. if you want the ssq pm me

dayam koreanpersuasion is a hottie...ummm..so...yeah..about the bov....ahh..hemmm...i got the supersound blitz dual drive, its the best ...i get ppl standing up looking around the corner when i drive by cuz they think the bus is coming. hks is #@%#@%#@%...yeah....so anyways..holla back.
