Ok, got the stock dask speakers out. How do you get 3 1/2's in there?

I got the stock dash speakers out and see that I have to pry off the grilles on the stock speakers, but how do you mount 3 1/2 inches speakers? They don't to fit? Anyone.....help...

LOL, duh. they don't fit....really nothing does except the stock stuff, unless you can custom (ghetto-rig) mount something.

Well crap.......back to the drawing board. I might leave them out. I have tweeters on the triangles on the power mirrors, 5 1/4's in the door and 6x9's in the back w/ a 12" JL sub. I don't think it will hurt if I leave them out. I don't want some jacked up speaker grilles up front.

you can just make an adapter plate with some ABS or somthing ( thats what i did with my quart tweets ) its looks good enough like that - or you can remove yer stock grill and put it ontop of the plate+new tweeter

i have the tweeters from my component system custom mounted there, basically what i did is take the stock ones out...removed the actual speaker from the grill and "attached" the tweeter to the backside of the grill, then dropped it back in there and bingo. i assume it would work for any speaker small enough to fit under the little grill.
