I wanna convert a 1995 talon tsi awd exterior to a 97-99 eclipse turbo look.. Anyone know how much it would cost to get all the body pieces,paint, and seal holes from the old wing?

This is a rough estimate i think it will cost
97-99 front bumper $150?
97-99 back bumper $125?
97-99 sideskirts $200?
97-99 headlights $150-200?
97-99 reverse lights $60?
97-99 Turbo wing $150?
97-99 Taillights $100?
97-99 Foglight w/ brackets $80?
I would like to buy it all used since its much cheaper

Full paint job to a taffe white $700?
Fill the holes in from the old talon wing $???

I can do all the work by myself except painting and fillin the holes in.. which those would be need to be done by a body shop

Anyone change the prices, cause those are just guess

Sounds just about right, keep in mind. Shipping for all of these is going to cost you quite a bit, especially if your buying them from different people. Alot of people that I tried to get bumpers from don't want to ship.

Filling the holes and putting the turbo wing is going to cost you near 500 dollars I believe. There quite a few holes there.

That's alot of money dude, shipping could be upwards of 300-500 bucks for all the items. Filling the holes from the old spoiler is also very expensive. Just shop around, and you'll find some good prices.

Would i be able to put the turbo wing on?

600 for paint
then fill in the holes....
If i put the wing on myself im pretty sure it will lower the price but would i need to fill the holes in before i put the wing on or can i just put it on and patch the holes after?

why not just get a (modest) body kit?

either way, you can prolly get the wing, body pieces, lights whatever for about $1000...then i'd just repaint the entire car and have them fill the holes while they're at it...unless you want something special...prolly another $1000-$2000 for paint & holes. shipping on those body pieces is what's gonna kill you. if you buy from an individual...get them to use greyhound, you'll just have to pick it up at your local station but it's about half of what others charge. (ie, $30 for one bumper) goodluck

when ever i see a 2g eclipse i look at the guy like a brother/sister, but i have pride in my talon and to change it to a stock eclipse would be like tryign to live your child hood overagain through your children... sell you talon to some one that has pride in talons and use that and the money you want to spend on a eclipse, or buy performance parts. i would want to ask why? the look cool in thier own way and if its for the "i spent more cause i have an eclipse" reason, then for shame... i mean its not like a silvia conversion its like a silly conversion.... kids these days

there basically the same car! just differen taillights and wing god.. does it have to cause this much commotion. Im goin badgeless anyways so... yea its not gonna say eclipse or mitsubishi i just perfer the 97-99 turbo look over the stock 95 talon look.

We buy the cars for the love of dsms cause there performance and looks. I look at the talon and the eclipse as the same car just badged up with different companys names.

I've seen a few turbo spoilers with the stock talon one. And it doesn't look all that bad.

What I can recommend you doing to help save some money is be patient. Check out www.dsmtrader.com for the specific bumper color you are looking for. You shouldn't have a problem putting them on yourself. They are pretty much the same car

That way you can save a bunch because you won't have to pay for painting or installation.

dont bother with filling in the holes on the hatch. just go buy a hatch from a junkyard, complete with the 97+ wing.

Finding one of those may be harder then buying the wing off the trader. By me there are rarely any new DSMs in there. I wouldn't know about where this person lives though.

And if you find one on the internet, won't the shipping kill you? They are heavy and big.
