I just bought a pair of projectors for my 2g and I washed it after I installed and my right headlight is fogging up! I know this is a typical problem with most projectors but does anyone have a great fix for this common problem I realy want to fix it rite the first time because I really dont want to pull my bumper off several times!

HELP
THANKS!!

my tails did that. you have either have a crack or the plastic headlight cover is pulling away from the housing, causing a gap for air and water to get in. thats what causes the fog. its humid in there. my tails dried up. give it some time, see if it dries up then take them out and caulk them yourself all around. a lot of the time, the lights dont come caulked well from whom ever you bought them from.

suggestion to everyone: always caulk your tails and headlights yourself before putting them in. saves you a headache down the road. ;)

Let it evaporate and try sealing them.

I know this is off topic, but regarding the attachment you posted...

That body kit looks terrible. It matches neither of the wheelwells, it doesn't "flow" with the door panel, you can see the stock body lines through the vent in front of the rear wheelwell...

What kit is that?

mine did the same thing, make sure all the openings are plugged up with the plugs that came with the headlights

LOL you're horrible :p was going to say the same thing but decided not to LOL

but i think it looks okay [ is that blitz??? ] just get the rear bumper and you'll be all set :thumb:

Heh... needs a rear bumper too. Front bumper looks like a Stillen but there are so many cheapo knock-offs these days it's hard to tell.

About the fogging... remove and use a hair dryer to dry it out. Then, examine closely for cracks or unsealed seams. If it isn't obvious, just seal any seam you find with RTV Silicone or something similar from the autoparts store. If it still fogs up after that, then you have another gap somewhere where air and moisture is allowed to get in.

dude all you guys who are flaming are jerks thats the way that the kit fits unless you do some modification to the existing way that the kit is shapped. If you are talking about the section that wraps around the whell well on the side skirts, that is the only way you can make those kits attach. It would look horibble to have the kit just stop at the edge of thge fender. Also since the car is a silver with pearls and flakes in it the shape and contour of the body kit cause it to give off different shades of silver. Since the sides of the 2g eclipse are rounded and the body kit is flat they give of different shades. Notice around the bottom where the kit curves it is a shade that is found on the body of the car.

Also the kit is POLYURETHANE so it cannot be modded as easily as fibergalss!

THanks for being Flaming all that are being haters! .

Anyone back me up on this?

Calm down. It's his opinion. He's explaining why he doesn't like it. If you don't want to please him or don't like what he has to say, ignore him.

Just a suggestion but ck out some grill mesh and cut to fit for the openings. It will take the obvious view away. But just a suggestion.
