I have an aftermarket headunit that isn't running through the factory amp so the dash speakers don't work. I have nice tweeters in place of the dash speakers and I want them to work. What do I have to connect them and make them work properly?

You may have to do some custom work. Just tap the tweeters in with the front speakers.

(i need to see if mine work.)

your going to run into an impedence problem if you do that. running 4 two ohm speakers together on one channel will give you either 2 ohm(too much pull on amp) OR 8 ohm, and they will both be way underpowered. replace them with components if you want speakers in the dash

You could just get a set of passive crossovers, and run the leads for the front speakers on the head down to the passenger seat, where you can tie into the factory wiring for the doors and tweets with the crossovers, then plig the head into the the crossovers.
that is what i did, except I did not even bother trying to replace the tweet as I am going to be putting in q forms and mbquarts, so this was just a make do system for me... however it has been in this configuration for almost 3 years now with no problems. Needless to say itsounds fine or I would have gotten a burr under my saddle to change it out

I have a 95 GST with a infinity system stock and when i replaced my cd player i ran into the same problem. When i pulled the dash speakers out and unplugged them there was another plug attahced to the wires. So someone said run the speaker wires to that. I did it and they worked perfect. i don't know if the wiring is the same in urs though, but give it a try.

i think the infinity is different - i have the infinity and the in dash speakers are diff that like a 95 talon tsi. also, as far as impedance goes - those in dash are 8 or 16 ohm speakers - which isn't going to have an adverse effect on the head unit.
