I was just wondering if anyone out there has taken apart their 95-96 headlights and painted them black to take the look of the 97-99 headlights? If anyone has pics of this i want to see what it looks like, and maybe a summary of how you did it. Thanks

yeah, ALOT of people have done it, especially me... here's a picture of it up close, and take a look at my sig also. pretty easy, i actually put mines in the oven at like 365 and waited probably 6 mins or so i forgot. then you pry it, everything should be soft, then just do your business. looks great as you can see!:thumb:

maybe this is off subject but i painted my foglights red with a red anodized paint so it now gives a red tint light look which blends nicely since my car is red. At night it is really cool against my cool blue headlights.

Me and my buddy each did ours together and they both came out really well. I'll try to get some pictures up to show you mine. There is actually a vfaq on how to do it step by step. the hardest part about it is getting the bumper and headlights off. While you are in there you can take the orange cover off of your turn signals. It looks even that much better. Although it is illegal to not have orange turn signals, so is not having a cat.:D But my buddy didn't want to leave them white so he just put orange bulbs in. During the day they are white, and at night they are orange. It looks really good.http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=86980
These are some decent directions. Hope it is helpful. Good luck.

I think i'm just gonna convert to the 97-99 instead of messing with my headlights. One is really fogged up so i figured i should just upgrade!

to fix your fogged up headlight problem just take a wax like black magic liquid wax or w/e and a buffer and buff the yellow away i did it was really easy and they came as clean as a whistle ! if i where to paint that part blue instead of black is that illegal or what would it look like...?

ABSOLUTELY NOT, do not do it for that long, your shit will melt, i did mine and i'd say i had them in for a MAX of 4-5 min and it was only 250. if it needed to go longer, put them back in , its easier than taking it out 6 mins later and its a melted lump of puddy.
