I don't know if it will less than 250 from anywhere especially for a one-off CF peice.

Here we go again with your painting carbon fiber sh!t. You say that in EVERY carbon thread you go into. He wouldn't spend $250 on a center taillight to paint it... He would paint his stock one.

Thay look sweet if you use a perl the same colour as your in some clear.
The perl sits in the contures and shows just a tint of colour.

interesting, but what's the point of it other than just to add a piece of carbon fiber to the outside of the car. make them come up with a carbon fiber hatch with speedglass in it so i can actually see some weight savings. that'd be alot more useful than that thing.

Actually, I've seen painted carbon and it looks very nice... not completely covered with layers and layers of paint, but a thin coat so the carbon patter shows through a little... looks kind of like holographic prism paper or fish with fine scales.

It can look good when done right. The raw carbon/mismatch look is too street racer like for some people's tastes. I'm kind of leaning that way myself.

About the carbon center piece, it is not the final product... it's suppose to be in test fitting stage and they are looking for a so cal car. I was told a month ago, that it may not have to be so cal. There is suppose to be special discount pricing for the test fit order but I didn't follow up on it. No money... no point.

I don't really think that would look too good. Especially at $250. Any pics of it on the car. i would imagine it would look very out of place.

I am stuck on the carbon fiber showing but hell, that is because of my job. If I didn't make the stuff for a living I would probally not have any on my car. I guess with that rational though if I was a butcher I would have a hamburger body kit!:p
Anyways...here is my buddy's car from the Netherlands and the "photoshoped (obviousy) paint job that will go on the car after we finish his fenders, the doors will be from Squidskins.....point is, your are right, it does look better painted! ;) Or something to this effect at least.
Oh, that does seem like a lot of money for that part, but it is one off...soooooo

actually that doesn't seem like a bad price for the part. It is definitely vacumm bagged or at least a compression mold...that is the only way they can get those deep cuts. I am actually impressed to tel ya' the truth. No, not everyone's thing but it does look well made. Just my opinion after looking at it more and not a knee jerk reaction to the price.
Heck, I couldn't make it cheaper cause I would have to make the master mold and such.:(

I think it would look awesome on a black, silver or white 1G with some gun-metal rims, carbon hood and the center tailpiece... keep the stock light "carbon fiber" altezzas blow. :|

It'd look good on any dark colored DSM with the carbon look taillights. The thing is I wouldn't be able to justify the cost vs benefit factor... unless I have a pile of $ burning a hole in my pocket... which is definitely not the case.
