Well, I wanted to lose weight, but I didn't want a tin can interior, tell me what you think? Carpet weighs under 2 Lb's...seats and belts weigh over 35....Whatcha think?

looks sweet! real nice, clean. a nice middle Chassie brace ( dont know what there called ) would look sweet.
 
I considered it but its considerably more work. I will be taking out the interior for a cage in the next month or so so I will see how tricky it looks.
 
that is just what I have been thinking about doing in my next car (gsx) since I don't use the back seat anyway.
 
Im considering making a few and selling them, some people show interest in it.
 
I am really interested in pulling my back seat as well, But how dose the carpet feel back there is it real tight or loose? And what did you use to fill all of the holes in the hump in the middle? or is it just carpetd over?
 
Just carpeted over. the carpet ios real right, as you can see in the pics, instead of going over the bottom of panels, it goes under them, and is screw down. Its really nice though. The best thign to do would be to cut out a piece of 1/4-1/2 inch thick foam an inch smaller is all directions and put that under the carpet
 
Removing the seat belts. Then unscrewing the panels from the floor and pushing the carpet under them and screwing um back down.
