Sherwood Park,
For my birthday my girl friend is getting me some racing seats, so I am looking into getting the momo start seat. I was wondering if anyone has had these before and what they thought of them. Where is a good place is to buy seats? I found a site called planetmomo.com that has them at a great price but was wondering if there is anywhere else that has good prices.

I am also looking at the Corbeau Forza seat, so if any one has any imput on either of these seats let me know.

If you're dead set on Momo... check shopmomo.com

It's their outlet site. Lower prices.

Other than that... search! it ain't hard. Google, Yahoo... whatever.

Sounds like a plug for a business... RED FLAG.

Can't even spell your business name right. Bad link/typo.

Careful with buying cheap seats. In a hard impact from the rear, the seat itself and the hinge is what's going to suport you. If any of it fails (cheap materials, design, construction) you can be ejected out the back hatch.

Sounds cartoon-like but it really isn't funny. A lot of people died that way. Few years ago an independant consumer group blew the whistle on all of the major domestic automakers for using cheap seats to maximize profit. They showed several test footage where the seats failed and ejected the dummy. The story got a lot of attention for a week, and then American short attention span and powerful lobbyists silenced it. I don' think anything ever came out of that fiasco.

Thanks for the info. I think I am going to go with Corbeau Forza's. I found a site where they sell for $215 a seat so that is a pretty good price.

you cannot assume anything. you have no idea where all seats are manufactured. they are made out of the same materials other well known companies use. if someone can charge you 800.00 for a name then they will probably do that. these seats are just as comparable
as well known names out there. you can look all over cardomain.com and see that many people with all types of cars and trucks have them installed and are very happy. there are also many forums about them. you should check them out you might think differently about the seats.

do you need to buy brackets when putting these seats in or do they fit directly?
im looking at the momo start-
thanks
jerome

i bought a set of seats from ebay i think they were liteglow seats, should be comming in soon, i only paid 292.95 shipped to my door. they came with universal mouting brackets. i post in to say how they fit and how they look, but they were a good deal

I just installed a set of corbeau gts ii seats with corbeau's brackets. have you guys with aftermarket seats felt that the seats are a little higher than the stock ones? my knees are hitting the bottom of my steering wheel and there is no way to lower my seat.

Same thing happened to me, I'm up a couple inches higher.

Same here I had the APC seats with the Tenzo Brackets. Had to do some custom drilling...any ways.. The Tenzo's with the Tenzo brackets fit really good. I gave the brackets to my lil bro and he got some Tenzo Seats Grey/Black They look really nice are really nice to sit in. But I am getting Sparco's so its all good :thumb:

do racing seats recline? i've seen some that obviously dont but i'd imagine there are some decent models that do.. Im 6'2" and its a tight fit in my eclipse as it is. No recline and higher seat could = no thanks!

I bought a pair of seats that came with universal sliders. the thing is the sliders aren't long enough.I need to find some brackets for my seats. any help feel free
