First, specify. Are the amps 2Ch, 500W RMS at 4Ohms bridged...1Ch, 500W...4 or 2 Ohms? How about the subs? DVC, SVC, 2, 4, 8, 12 Ohms?

Let's see, three high current 500W RMS amps in a 1st Gen Talon...You gettin a new alt? 'Cause the factory electrical system sure can't handle that kind of draw.

you know what i like? they have this sealed box with three mtx subs and it has a clear backwindow, i think its 750 rms. i went to go listen to it, that mother has a lot of bass! its inexpensive, so it always a good choice, especially since its good bass. only one thing though- you would have to take the subs out of the box and have a custom one made for them, mtx is notorious for making one size fits all boxes, which hamper the overall performance of the subs. and for an amp, rockford or kicker

I take exception to this!

Let me qualify my following remarks:
I have been a certified installer for about 12 years now, I hold (currently) a First class installer certification from MECP, in another 3 years (15 total) I can take the test to recieve my "Master Installer" certificate.

This is not a flame, only my opinion as a professional.
I have been using Rockford Fosgate amps to power both subs and Mid/ high combos for many years. I have not had any significant problems or failures with Rockford in the course of my career. I have however created some incredible sounding systems (for private use and competition) with their amplifier line. I think that your negative opinion of Rockford Fosgate and the people who may recommend it is unwarranted. I think that if you make a generalization like that you should at least back it up with fact, experience, or reasoning.

Regards,
Joe

Joe,

Excellent reply. I agree completely with this statement. RF's are one of the best bang for the buck amps you can buy.

Later,
Matt.
