Got a weird question for whoever is on here and willing to help me out.

So I am talking to this guy http://anchorage.craigslist.org/cto/2249332392.html about trading for my truck he wants to trade and I think I do but it just depends.

He has tried to get this car started but he cant figure it out because he doesnt know enough about the car. He has his own garage with all the tools needed. He said I can come down and look at the car and try to get her running or see if I can figure it out.

Except for I live in soldotna which is 3 hours away. and i dont know a hole lot about it either just a little bit.

If I come down tomorrow is there anyone on here willing to meet up with me and take a look at this car? I can pay you $50. And if you can fix it and get close to it. I will pay you $200 or whatever you think is fair.

Here is what he told me in a email about the car.

"This car had a bad motor, now it has a performance motor as the sense of the better rods, balancer elimanater kit, cams, the car has a lot of parts that make it just not another tsi talon, for some reason I am not getting spark, I purchased the car with the motor pulled, I believe I do not have the proper cam sensor or crank sensor, needs a couple of loose ends upper radiator hose, besides the spark issue, it should be a ok car. passenger headlight needs help, bumper has a crack in it nothing severe so I am sure some other issues it is not a new car but it not a pile either."

Its got K and N intake, hooker headers, and Bosh4 sparkplugs. Other then that all is stock

I would say it is more than likely the Crank Position Sensor.Hope he is planning on giving you a good amount of CASH on top of that Panda for trade for your Truck.That Panda has been for sale for a while.Considering I paid $5000.00 for my GS-T on 5/5/07 but it was basically all stock but it ran good but it's not stock anymore accept the bottom end is still & the tranny. It also only had 109,000 miles on it.

And no. If I do I wont be getting any cash. I know I am getting the short end of the deal. But Ive wanted one of these cars for the longest time and the longer I wait the harder its going to be. I love my truck she runs great and gots no problems, and gets alot of looks. But just isnt to much fun to drive.

yeh I dont got that much money though. Which is why Im selling my truck. Just reposted it on craigslist for cheaper. hopefully somebody buys it. I originally posted it with the price pretty high because I was looking more into trading her. But we will see.

Try posting your truck on Alaska Motor Sports or Alaska's List you might get somebody off those site's that might be interested in your truck hopefully that will help you out.

No pics and its a 91 I believe. I was gonna get it to do my 5 lug swap. But decided to stick with 4 lug. I'll contact the owner and see if its still available.

I have a parts car you can purchse too if you want.... It has a good title but it really needs more work than is technically worth it to get it back running. Although I would love to restore it myself... *sigh* if you have any interest, just PM and we can probably work something out.

This might be a better option for you. The talon i mentioned is missing alot of things in the engine bay.

Just to throw out there, My GSX is no walk in the park if thoughts were to get it running again. It would need an entire engine rebuild and even the drivers door as a minimum. As I said before, the work needed to get the car running again, is really more than what the average person should even consider buying. But to steal parts from and get another car running and having spare parts laying around is always fantastic! Not to mention that the car is located in Fairbanks...

Well I am most likely selling my truck tomorrow. Except the car I wanted was the yellow spyder in Kodiak. But I do not see it on there anymore so I am assuming the guy sold it.

So if anybody is interested I will have $4500.00 tomorrow to spend on a car if anybody is interested in selling there car. If not I will probally get the "panda" and get it fixed or end up getting the 1997 audi a4 quattro on craigslist.
