Hey everyone, I am trying to sell my 91 parts car back home as the place where it is located no longer can accomodate my car. I just have to get the title reissued as I have misplaced it :ohdamn:. Most of the engine and the tranny is in the car. It is missing the driver side door but I kept the glass, lock assembly, and panel. It rolls but the driveshaft may or may not be on the ground after the 3 years or so its been sitting. You will have to trailer the car. For more info let me know. If interested, you will be dealing with my mom as I am not available to be in town for the time being.

$300. (dropped to $200)

(as far as I know the car was stock and had 154K when the head seized due to a loose oil filter after 2500 miles on an oil change... WTF...anyways...)

Hopefully right between Alaska and Pheonix in SW Washington state.
LoL.

I know a couple of people up here that may be interested. what all is missing from it? (turbo, cams, exhaust, head?) Body parts don't come easy up here lately, but i'd love to have the engine. i may be able to talk the wife into letting me buy it as a build for next winter.

In all honesty, It would be one HELL of a build if you were gonig that route. I dreamt of the same thing and thats why I have held on to it for so long since the head seized but being as I moved out of state for school and I may not be coming home right after graduation, it really doesn't do me any good. A full run down fo the car to the best of my knowledge

I bought the car I believe in the summer of 2005. The guy wanted $2700 for the car and it was worth the money except he thought the clutch was going out on it. So I picked it up for $1800. It ended up just being the clutch pedal worn out. We pulled that and rebuilt it. I know that at some point we also rebuilt the driveshaft with new u-joints and the front struts needed to be replaced... and they were. It had a little more than 140K when I bought the car and I know it burnt a little oil as well (turbo or valve seals).

I believe in the winter of 2006/07 I was in a fender bender with a minivan that broke the passenger side fo the bumper, broke the light motor/assembly (light didn't go up/down), and slightly bent the hood. I still drove the car all winter. The reason that the door is missing is because I let my dad drive the car once and I leave the car in neutral with the e-brak pulled. My dad does the opposite, leaves it in gear and no e-brake. So I started the car with the door open and since it was in reverse, after I started the car, I DROPPED the clutch, door went right into the workbench and crumpled right at the door handle. Well needless to say, that door never worked right again... not to mention couldn't be opened from the outside.

Anyways, then later that same winter, my car got backed into that same driver's door taking out my mirror and dented the door... GREAT! Well I had had my eyes on a Talon to rebuild anyways, Guy wanted $1200 for it. I bought it for $1,000 with the insurance money I got from being backed into. Stole the door off of that car and put it on the Eclipse... YAY WORKING DOOR!! Put the crappy door right into the dumpster.

I drove the eclipse until mid to late spring of 07' (end of april) and That is when my oil filter magically came loose and I seized the head. No lights, no check engine light... just car died. :( Towed by to my place where plans to rebuild the Talon came into life. By june I had the talon running again. But due to 1 mistake during the build, spun a rod bearing. Pulled it all apart again and found that the #3 rod was ruined and the crank was also ruined. The main bearings had been accidently pushed into the wrong sides (probably by me) which caused oil starvation. My dad helped me as he has built many engines in the past but must have overlooked me doing that.

so to continue, I needed a new crank and rod... Well I ripped apart the eclipse and got myself the crank and the number 3 rod (just to be sure haha). took everything back to the machine shop to be cleaned, honed, balanced, etc. rebuilt the engine and it's still running in the Talon now. Since then I have taken parts from the Eclipse. Off the top of my head:
Blower motor, front brake caliper, radiator, AC condenser, random screws, corner light, attempted to take the power antenna but failed, CAS, spark plug cover, TB and sensors and becasue I was out of state, my mom cut the section of the engine harness off from (I believe) just before where the injectors would start taking the injector clips, and the connectors at the end (ECU temp sensor, dash temp sensor, O2 sensor, etc). Of course the door is missing as well.

There are 2 14B's that could be rebuilt, there is also 2 heads, 1 I know is not in good condition but it is possible that it may just need a REALLY good rebuild haha. But beyond that most everything should be there. So as I originally stated.. easier being a parts car but I really love that car... even if it is broken and not taken care of. It *SHOULD* be covered by a tarp but I haven't been home since last summer. the car does have a GOOD title.

Now you know my history with DSMs to the summer of 2007... haha. Just let me know!

OK, who in fairbanks wants to buy this car... OR help me find a place where I can keep it for a while... PM me for more details about helping me out otherwise... I am looking for $200 and I can even do what i can to setup a drop-off... No garuntee at the moment but I will still do what I can... tell you friends and family. Otherwise, this car is unfortunately going to have to go to the crusher... :(
