I just got my 92 talon. It hadn't been drivin for a year year or so. When I go to shift into second it grinds in alittle, also it ginds when i go from reverse to first. It onlys grinds when the engine is really in motion (rpm). Also the pedal has about one to two inches of play. Is there any way I can tighted the pedal down, or is it most lkely a bent fork or something. I really think that if I get the play down that the grinds will go away. My crx did the same thing and when I tighted the pedal (leasend the play) it stopped the grind.

Also my steering wheel is 1/4 off set. The car itself doesnt pull or anything and it still feels tight in the steering. Just wondering if I can adjust it or if I put a new wheel in there will it sit right or be off also.

The clutch might be completely burned out and can not grab any longer so when you shift at a high rpm it just grinds.

Might be bad syncros.

Might be bad transmission.

Hard to say.

If you can't figure it out, ask a more specific question in the Drivetrain Forum.

Good luck.
