Im asking mostly about what you guys think about this. I've wanted to turbo my 420A ever since I got the TSI and I figured I'd give it a shot with my own fabrications.

I'm getten a free 14B off a tsi, and a free SMIC off a tsi.

I'm having the piping bent and such by a friend, or a local garage who im friends with, and having it flanged for either a type-S, or a 1G BOV (1G to keep the price down). I'm also taking the manifold off a 4g63, cutting the flange off of it, and welding a 420A manifold flange into it's place. I'll die grind it out to make sure the holes line up correctly and such.

I'm using an O2 sensor housing off a tsi, and cutting the flange off of a TSI downpipe and welding it onto a 420A downpipe, so I can stick with the stock piping locations and not have to make those.

I'm assuming I'll do about 8-10 psi on stock internals, and leave it at that.

For fuel supply, upgraded pump, such as a tsi/gsx pump, which I'm assuming will fit. For oil supply, I'm not to sure yet. I'm hoping I can tap it off the head like a 4g63, but different engines, so maybe I'll need a different location For the return line, I'm assuming that I could tap and make my own line connection into my oil pan.

Sound like a plan? Any comments, suggestions, tips? Don't be like, no that sucks, get a GSX. I already have a TSI :D.

i personally wouldn't do a 14b. its not really worth it. secondly, i wouldn't try and modify a 4g63 manifold. i would just buy one. you can buy a 16g and manifold from hrc. youre going to need a walbro intank pump, not a gst/gsx pump. you can make your own oil tap for the oil pan, thats not a big deal, but the oil connection you will need is on the back side of the motor, down low where the oil sensor is. (its a green plug). ill want to get a T connection so the oil sensor is still used with the oil feed line. I believe you can get these kits from hrc as well.

don't forget you will also need an sfmu or at least an fmu. i would also suggest you change out the injectors to say 290's or 310's. i dont like the idea of running stock injectors with the 420a.

Wow i really dug this thread up. Sorry to sound like a tard, but what's this missing link?

If i remember correctly, missing link will avoid a fuel cut with naturally aspirated eclipses/talons, somthing about dampening the voltage to the sensor comes to mind, anyways its made by a company called synapse engineering, cost $50 or so.

I'd leave the bodykitted beast lay, spend all that cash on the 1g for go fast mods :D

just my 2 cents
