Hey
This is my first post...i've dont some reading, with no luck, so sorry if this has already been answered. I would like to purchase a 4G64 and do the 4G63T head swap to make it DOHC turbo and i feel like that would seriously haul ass. then id like to put the engine into a 92 tsi, so im wondering if the 4g64 will fit in the 92 tsi ? what r the major differences between the 4G64 and the 4G63. And does anyone know if the 4G64, being a 2.4 wieghs much more? any info here would be much appreciated, or any other info someone thinks i should know, lke maybe how much all of this might cost me LOL.
Thanks

*and sorry the thread topic should say "with a 4G63 head" i edited it but it only changed it on this page not other one :( *

almost positive that the head wouldn't fit. i think the 4g64 head is altogether different from the 4g63 head and the block from the 4g64 just wouldnt match up. i could be completely wrong on this so if anyone else knows please feel free. as far as the block fitting in the bay, definately gonna need new engine mounts, and the mounts arent even in the same place...i also think in the spyders the transmission is on the oppisite side from where the transmission is in your TSi. i know this is true with teh 420a motor and im pretty sure its true with the 4g64 as well.

hmm the head will fit im already positive on that, theres a few things to take care of when doing it but its been done lots and isnt that hard to do, and it makes a monster of an engine, i am just not sure if the mounts will mount right and all line up and all that ish, the the block is only 6mm taller so it clears the hood no prob....just not sure bout the mounts
