OK guys, I know this question has probably been asked a million times, but here goes: what is the safest engine build up that will support a stage 1 or stage 2 turbo kit for a NT. I'm not looking for ways to cut corners, I'm looking at the best way. What all "pieces" should be done in the bottom end (i guess.) The car has 93K on it. It still runs good and I know just about every mile that is on it. I bought it with 22K. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

um, if you plan on pushing more then 10psi, you need to get the rods and psitons replaced with stronger ones. Most people recommend the Howell Automotive Bottom End Kit. After the rods and pistons if you still wanna push more boost then get the camshafts replaced with stronger ones and the springs and retainers. You may have to buy polyurethane motor mounts also because the cheap stock ones might break. Oh yam you would definately need an aftermarket exhaust. 2.5" turboback or 3" turboback is good.

up to about 9 - 10 psi your fine on stock motor, after that, bottome end, pstons, rings, rods... you dont need to do any headwork. maybe get springs and retainers but other than that. Hahn is running a completely stk head other than springs and retainers and ran a 10.87. stock head, stock ecu, stock intake mani
