i was set for an all motor setup with my car for a while until i researched some and found out how much it will cost to reach my power goal with that setup. im looking to hit at least 200hp to the wheels. because of that, i am starting to rethink purchasing a turbo kit. i was thinking of the hahn stage 1 but i dont know if i can get that with a sidemount or not. my main two questions are..........can i put a 2.5" exhaust on there and be fine? i know that if you are planning on bumpin up the boost a 3" is ideal but im not looking to go past 8psi. so would i be all right with a 2.5"? also, i was told that an act 2100 clutch would be fine for an all motor setup that would hit close to these numbers and i just want to know if that will be sufficient for a stage 1 turbo kit with the basic supporting mods? thanks for any help:dsm:

If all you want is 8psi then a 2.5 will be good enough BUT once you get bit by the boost bug and you want to turn up the boost you'll need a 3.0 exhaust, do it right from the start and get a 3.0, an aftermarket exhaust off a 95-99 GST will fit. don't waste time and money with the 2.5. A 3.0 will not hurt you even at 8psi. a stg 1 is about 165 fwhp and a stg 2 is about 225 fwhp

I have seen several members over at 2gnt dyno around there with just a basic stage 2 setup and a big exhaust, I have also seen several dyno in the 190 range, depends on the state of the engine and the tune of the car.

5psi.. i checked the mag. not sure if that is right. whp sounds a little high don't you think?
