HRC Stage 1Vs.2

My debate is HRC stage 1, or stage 2. The stats make it look like stage 2 is a lot better performance but, I don't know enough about all this Turbo talk, to know if I should just get Stage 1, a FMIC and what else? And be better off for about the same cost?

Fill me in w/ the info please guys, I wan't to make the best deccision, for what I can afford. (I'm sittin at about 3Grand right now)

If you dont plan on running more than 8psi (with stock internals) then you could go with the HRC Stage 2 w/ Side Mount Intercooler. It would be sufficient.

Is a sidemount the only thing stage 2 has, that stage one doesn't? If so, I'd rather save and get a FMIC, start stage 1, then a big intercooler, or would that be dumb?

Yes, that is basically the only difference. The extra cost is for the intercooler and the extra pipe needed to complete the system. Also make sure when you order you get the 8 psi wastegate deal other wise you will get jipped with the 5psi setup for the stage 1. Although a 15$ boost controller can also sold this problem

So w/ a BC this makes no difference in the future? Should I do an 8psi Wastgate? how much will it cost and will it even help me?

It is really up to you im not to sure about the details. i got a boost controller of ebay for about 15$ that works fine. and im sure there is instructions to even make your own

I bought my stage 2 kit second hand so i wasnt able to chose the 8psi gate. but i did look into upgrading my 5psi one and i believe it was about 120$. I think if you specify on ordering there is no extra charge
