hey all. i just dynoed at 264 but i was getting too much fuel. i talked to hahn and they said with my setup i should be running 12's in the quarter.

they say the 310cc injectors should be able to take us into 350+whp. im not sure about this. hahn's tech support says that at 15psi of boost, i should be around 90psi on the fuel with the 310s. of course im smacking way about 100. anyway..

ok.. well.. i started out with 37psi base pressure, which is 13 turns out on the sfmu boost valve, my fuel pressure at 12 pounds of boost was way over 100 and it was sputtering.

2nd run, i dropped the base pressure down to 22psi of fuel and turned the boost valve out to 15 turns. at 12lbs of boost i was still smacking 100psi very quickly. it was sputtering.

3rd run, i turned the boost down to 10lbs and left the fuel the same. i smacked 100psi of fuel, but then it backed down to about 95psi of fuel and ran good. but it still did sputter some when first going.

when i checked my 6lbs of boost setting it was doing 65psi of fuel pressure, egts were perfect and the can ran great, no sputtering.

does anyone have any suggestions on what i should do here? i have a feeling the 12:1 disc is in the sfmu. does the 8:1 make you run more lean? i think thats where i need to head.

thanx for the help.
James

please, don't all rush to help out or anything.

i bet the reason why nobody responded is because this forum is now filled with 4g63 guys who don't want to help out a 420a guy.. LOL just playing..

anyway, ive figured it out, so thanx for everyone's help. :barf:

Yes james you want to head more twards the leanness, so get that kit for the SFMU that has all the disc's. The rise rate is your issue, not the base pressure.

Either a 8:1 or a 6:1 will do fine vortech makes ratio's from 3:1-12:1 get a lower disc, because a 12:1 at 8psi it is 96psi of fuel, once you start turning up the boost you can see how your fuel pressure will get very high with a 12:1 ratio
