I keep hearing that the star stage 2 kit comes with HORRIBLE installation directions. Before i buy this turbo kit i would like to be prepared before installation, seeing as i will be installing it myself with a few friends.

Can anyone explain to me or send me a link to a site that has *normal* directions for install. Or, if all else fails, could i just refer to the installation directions for the Hahn kit?

thanks,

dave

yes call hahn and ask for the instructions for their kit and that will do just fine for you. A few things will be different but you can figure all those things out yourself all the major things will be covered by the hahn directions.

Haha, yeah those are Optimus' instructions. HRC got pissed at him for posting those. I could have cared less.

Anyway, Star's instructions aren't horrible or wrong, it's just they are very vague. I guess they figure it is fairly obvious how to put on a manifold, put on a turbo, put on a downpipe, mount an intercooler, install piping, put on BOV, put on wastegate, install lines to wg and bov, install fpr, install pump, install fcd.

That's basically star's instructions right there.

ok cool...its good to know i can always refer back to HRC directions...thanks alot ;)

I have the star perf kit as well. My problem is
that inmy kit i put on a year ago i did not get the map sensor replacement part. Can anyone tell me where i can locate one. Also, when i'm hard in it the engine or exhaust get really loud like there is a major exhasut leak. I have checked all lines pipes and etc. all look god. no leaks. I'm running a open dump tube from my wastegate. Maybe that's what i'm hearing. Car runs great but would like to figure this out. Just wanted to pick a few brains.

p.s. running 7 psi.
