Ok, i have a turbo manifold ( exhaust manifold ) off of a 95 GS-T and the turbo, it came off of a wreck, only has 38,000 miles on it, but i have a 95 RS , and dont b negative, i have a master welder/fabricator next door, and i want to know if anyone has or knows how i would go about to make it fit , it shouldnt b that hard just make it fit my cylinder head, unless theres something more complicated than that...if so , please inform me, ty

ive never heard of anyone that was able to make a 4g63 manifold fit the 420a... but if you guy can fab it, then go for it. also, i think most people, even the 4g63 guys would agree that the t-25 is pretty weak in terms of the volume of air it pushes, so while you would see gains, it would be minimal.

also, there are many many other things you will need to complete your project.

It's not worth it once you cut the manifold to re weld a new flange to bolt up to your motor the metel will warp and it is a cast iorn maniflod which will make it even harder to do. That really is a small turbo, save up and buy a kit it will be cheaper in the long run. www.flawlessmotors.com has a really cheap kit. GOOD LUCK

you need some custom type of manifold to bolt it up to.

sorry eclipseowner. so u guys are saying that the stock turbo mani wont bolt up to our cars? what kind of mani or headers do u suggest for putting a turbo on our cars? please pm me for the responces so i don't steal his thread. anyways a free bump. i hope u get the info u need man!!

I would have your fab guy make you one from scratch. Trying to use the turbo one won't work cause the bolt pattern is completely different. All the kits come with manifolds already. There are some people at 2gnt.com that make them too. Don't forget though you will need to do a lot more than just slap it on, you will also need to build piping and a fuel system.

I was thinking about running the t25 @ 5psi, would this be fine on the 420a. I have a friend that would sell me a t25 for $50.

I would have to get

Exhaust Manifold
Blow off valve
Downpipe
intake
and piping from the turbo to throttle body
oil lines

anything im missing

sfmu, fuel lines, missing link, mbc, wastegate.

it is possible i dont know much about that specific turbo...as for the missing link, i have a 95 too and i bought it just to be safe.

__________ we got a flat liner, 15,000 volts... CLEAR!! zzzzt ______/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\

phew... brought it back from the dead. LOL anyways... i am in the same boat, and im confused on what the missing link and sfmu are. anyone please help.. bye the way, anyone know where to get a mani to bolt the T-25 to the 420a?
thanks

oh ya, and FCD? whats that? thanks

FCD - Fuel-Cut Defencer
In In Diamond Star applications, this comes with the PFC. In most cases, it appears that you can't buy it separately. The operating principle of the device is that of a frequency limiter. It is connected to the output of the Air-Mass sensor pin 2 on turbo TLE's - pin 1 on Galant VR-4's). The output frequency from the FCD tracks the input frequency until it reaches the limit setting... the output frequency then stays the same even if the input frequency (coming from the AMS) continues to increase. By fooling the ECU into believing that Mass Airflow never exceeds a predetermined amount, fuel cutoff is avoided. Unfortunately, fooling the ECU into believing the engine is consuming less air than it really is, results in a leaned-out mixture once limiting has begun. Because the turbo DSM's are set up to run quite rich on the top end, no harm is done expect possibly in extreme circumstances.

(NOTE: Other "hacks" have been discovered that will serve the same basic purpose: Removing the lower honeycomb section, enlarging the lower AMS inlet, and adding resistors/pots to the baro sensor and thermistor circuits are all somewhat effective techniques.)

PFC - Programmed Fuel Computer (also PF-CON, FCON)
HKS sells this "piggy-back" computer, and its purpose is to fool the stock ECU into delivering more fuel under certain conditions. It's important to note that this "piggy-back" computer (as they call it) does not exactly work *with* the stock ECU the way that HKS ads might lead you to believe. The PFC doesn't share any data or address lines with the ECU, the only connection it has is thru the lines that originally ran directly to several engine sensors. By altering the signals from these engine sensors, the ECU is "fooled" into delivering an different quantity (usually more) of fuel.

There are limitations with this system, because the factory ECU it still is in final control and has the same limitations.

It should NOT be viewed as a substitute for an self-contained engine computer/control system. A true aftermarket engine control computer will provide vastly greater function and flexibility. The major advantage of the PFC-FCON is that it is fool-proof and very easy to install

the missing link basically well is suppose to keep the map sensor from seeing boost. the s-fmu is a boost dependent fuel pressure regulator that allows for serveral more tunning capabilites then the vortech fmu. The s-fmu allows you to adjust static fuel pressure which is def. needed if your running much larger injectors. it also has some other nice capabilities.
