turbo upgrade

okie dokie here goes.......
i'm a mucsle car fan and current owner of a 90 mustang gt.
yeah its fast and it runs 11's. now to the part where you guys come in.. my buddy has a laser that got "donated" to him. he drove it for a little bit then he got a dui(sucks). anyways the head gasket finally blew. car sits for a few months. today we dubbed it the LASER BEAM and pulled the head off. guess what, he needs to get the head decked so while the machine shop is decking the head.......might as well port and polish it too right? $150 for all the work.keep track of the $. call around to a few junkyards, guess what we find? oh a turbo talon with a blown motor. yaaaaayyyy! stock turbo system $200. that includes the turbo, wastegate, manifold, ecu, intake, piping, and intercooler. long story short we're throwing a turbo kit on his "laser beam" and slapping on my old 50 shot nitrous kit. wow what fun it will be. high 12's are in sight. with the higher compression rate 5-8 psi should do the trick to womp on turbo'd talons and such. we are by the way purchasing a larger downpipe, extruding the intake, and using my old mustang throttle body. its funny how some cars are just compatable right? we havent started taking pics yet but will be soon. i will continue to keep all you people posted on our progress. in the meanwhile i would appreciate any advice or extra parts we will need. we know we need a fuel pump, but after that we're kinda thinkin we have everything else taken care of. waiting for your thoughts and comments....

How are you putting the turbo on the 420A exhaust manny? I want to see how this project progresses, so keep us updated.

they are turboing a non turbo laser not a car with a 420A

Dont forget:
-Turbo or aftermarket Fuel Pump
-Turbo Fuel Injectors and resistor pack
-Turbo FPR, or even better, an Adjustable FPR
-02 Housing
-Turbo Oil pan
-Turbo Lower Thermostat housing
-Turbo Throttle Body
-Knock Sensor
-Boost Pressure Solenoid
-Turbo MAF
-LOTS of extra wiring to runs the wires from the new sensors to the ECU wiring harness unless you pull the turbo wiring harness.

Hmmm, now i'm drawing a blank. If I think of more I'll add it.

And to comment, I just finished instlling a factory turbo system on my non-turbo Talon. Boost is set to 9.5psi and running smooth as silk.

since i don't know what all you grabbed when you got the "complete stock turbo system" i have no idea what all parts you still need although supergoat's list should get you there.

i'm also going to move this to the nt-turbo conversion forum.

UMMMM maybe I'm just a real dumba$$ but when did they make a Laser in 95?? Thought they were only around in the 1G's??? Thought 2G only included Eclipse and Talon???? Someone tell me I'm wrong somewhere please.....

if it is a laser it will be a 4g63 but if it is a 2gn/t he will have a 420a and non of those turbo parts will work for the 420a the manifold wont bolt up.From what I know the laser's are only 1g's
