Just Boosted my 97 eclipse!!!

so i got my star stage I kit in the mail on friday. me and a bunch of my buddies worked on it intermittently on friday and saturday. we had some problems to trouble shoot on sunday, but thanks to my buddy and his dad (as well as the advice of Siue-thanks man), i was able to get her running right again!

the car runs INCREDIBLE. i never dreamt that it would be such an awesome power increase off of 5 psi (thats all im running till i get an intercooler). seriously, i dont know how long my internals will last, im hoping they will hold for 20K miles or so. i dont plan on beating the car, but we shall see.

my advice to anyone thinking of going turbo- even if you decide to get the star kit, make SURE you have a copy of hahns instructions to supplement the crap star gives you for instructions. second, dont ask any of us which kit is better, cause i love my star, and all the star guys love their kits, and all of the hahn guys love their kits....do what is the best fit for YOU. finally, plan for things to go wrong, cause they inevitably will.

but for now, i love what i got....a daily driver with reliability and some serious power behind it. thanks for all of the advice over the last 6 months to everyone especially: siueclipse, 98turbbo420a, kirby, dudasd, and everyone esle....now im gonna go drive my boosted gs.... peace

definitely, anyone that is thinking about boosting as a possible choice for hp gains, it is DEFINITELY the best bang for your buck. you wont regret it, it is so much fun to drive....especially with the GReddy type s blow off valve....people that dont know anything about cars look at you car like a formula 1 car when they see it drive by...

me and my buddies took lots of pics and movies during the install, so im gonna post those up as soon as he uploads them to my computer. the one movie is of me playing "basketball" with my stock cat....its pretty damn funny.
