Need new Star FMIC. What kind?

I busted my intercooler last week coming backwards out of a steep driveway; ended up damaging the core! What type of Spearco IC does the Star kit come with and where could I get it? Thank you!

It's not a spearco to my knowledge. You could call a star dealer and see how much it is, or you could buy Hahn's intercooler. Or just get a spearco that matches the dementions (or bigger) that yours is and go from there.

It is a Spearco core but it's custom to the star supplier, you'd have to order it from a dealer.

woohoo. importparts.com said they could sell me just the intercooler, $475.00 shipped. Note to self: Never lose control of car again!

How did you get your intercooler straight? I can't get mine straight for the life of me. Try and try as I might it just doesn't want to sit straight. I'm about ready to give up on it all together

When I first mounted the intercooler it was a little crooked and wouldn't seem to straighten properly. My friend and I loosened all of the piping hose clamps and wiggled the pipes while I kept the intercooler held straight. After doing this, there wasn't as much force against the intercooler and it would sit straight just fine.

I'll give that a shot next time it's not snow/raining (probably next month from the looks of things). I know I still have some trimming to do underneath so when I do that I'll try what you said. Thanks!
