SAFC 2 on a turbo 420a

OK so ive been searching and have found no answers

Could the SAFC work if i run the fcd on the output wire of the safc that way the safc will see boost from the map but the ecu wont?

Last time I knew, the only well working tuning solutions we have for the 420a are MS and portfueler.. Tested and proven why don't you go that route??

I believe I've read all those links and I'm not looking for help on how to install it but wondering about using the stock map for boost not an aftermarket one. The plan is to switch over to megasquirt as soon as the finances allow for it. But untill then I figure I'll use what I got laying around

no dont use it. Stock map cant read boost.. period. Get an FCD or a Missing link and FCD combo. What are you using to tune? The SAFC is NOT FOR THIS PLATFROM. Period. end. of. story. Wait for MS if your really going to.. no since in wasitng time and money on something thats a bandaid.

OK thats what i was looking to hear, I have a FCD on the way and am planning on using the FMU for fuel tunning with the SAFC and low boost till i get MS.

And not wasting money i have the SAFC sitting here from my GSX so I figured i would use it to cut fuel at idle cause the cams and bigger injectors

"OK thats what i was looking to hear, I have a FCD on the way and am planning on using the FMU for fuel tunning with the SAFC and low boost till i get MS. " \Ditch the SAFC. period. People have done just fine on low boost with an FMU setup.. no need AT ALL for the SAFC to be there.. it will only complicate things.

your wasting money because you havent sold that worthless junk ; )

Nice. Ms is great. If your in the market, first decide what your doing with the car, and what options you need that way you can build/order the MS to suit your needs. I learned the hard way, i got one, then added, then added, then added.. lots of wasted time and cash..Gl!

IMO this is sorta the order i build in:
Built bottom (and top if applicable)
Fuel (To support boost)
Monitoring tools (guages etc)
Turbo Sys
Trans/Drive train/Suspension Upgrades
Upgraded Engine Mgmt (something like standalone MS)

Yeah that is about the path im taking and trying not to do things twice

ive got the built bottom and top end
got the 255 wally and 450 injectors and fcd
got all my gauges. Wideband, fuel pres, oil pres, oil temp and boost.
got all the turbo stuff just gotta build the piping
Got a spec stage 2 clutch and working on the polly mounts got struts and spring already as well as bigger brakes master and booster
Now just gotta work on getting MS. Im thinking im going to order it all set up for the 420a for boost. And ive heard the new tunner studio is actually really good and will help set the VE tables as you drive

The new TS is great. Auto tune is great, but not perfect, so dont fully rely on it.

MS2. MS3 has a whole bunch of extra bells and whistles that aren't really needed at all for a 420a.

Bah friggin' humbug! I'm obviously just too old school and can't change with the times.... I'd rather KISS and not have to deal with all the extras. It's a 420A not a Dino. (I have no clue whether MS3 will run a Dino)
