Im the worlds first turbocharged 420a with a jeep throttle body :)

shop charged me 850 bux to install even after being quoted 650 :mad:
so I am gonna call the owner and raise some hell and get some loot back. the shop was www.ilpperformance.com in pennsylvania

Hey Malenko are you going to go to the track to time your car?Just curious what a automatic turbo charged 420a will run since i dont think anyone else on here has a auto that went turbo.
 
I had the TB before the turbo, so I have nothing to compare it to.

I do however love the turbo and suggest all you people thinking about it to just go do it!

I have a star kit but Im sure the feeling is exactly the same with either a hahn or custom kit. next stop is to bug the shit out of the shop till I get some loot back then I get 310cc injectors.

daltah: I plan on going to either cecil county or atco to get a few runs in.

Fuel is handled by a fuel pressure regulator and a Walboro 255 lph in-tank fuel pump. Votec S-FMU will be in its place soon along with hahn/accel 310cc injectors. Im pigged backed using a S-AFC but only very minor adjustments have been made.

No boost controller yet but the deltamark wastegate is set at 7psi. The shop that installed my turbo lost my boost gauge's hoses and stuff so I gotta get replacements. They also didnt weld the dump tube into the downpipe so right now my car is illegal :/

cucumber is gonna hate this, he has nothing to make fun of anymore aka stock wing is back on

actually I got the kit for 1500 shipped so even withthe LARGE install charge it still cost less then a new Star Stage II,
I think he meant I got ripped cause the charged me more then I was quoted, and while Im glad you appriciate the deal I got, but I dont want this being a mudslinging fest or anythign like that. I love all turbo charged 420As equally (well I love mine a lil more cause its mine!)

Im just happy my fuel pump isnt loud.
boostin doesnt always mean stealing a car ;)
 
its an EGT...

everything was already together and I didnt wanna tap a runner and have metal shavings go through the turbo or anything, so I tapped the downpipe, its not so far down, its right after the turbo.
 
I have compensated for the location they should be a tad lower its not like I put it next to my O2 sensor =p , but it was where its at, or not at all.

i was just letting you know incase you didn't, but it seems that you do.. just remember when u watch your egts that they are little bit off. good luck with the turbo, i was going that way when a tsi for sale came into my view..

if anyone knows a good way to figure out how much it is off exactly, Id appriciate it but at this point Im not exactly pushing a heapin helpin of boost or tuning alot (just slight S-AFC adjustments)
 
Well with that safc you need to watch that egt like a hawk. That safc can mess your timing up bad, which could cause a lean condition and high egt's. If I were you I would re tap it ASAP, those small shavings will not be that bad, they will blow right out. when you start the car up.
