if i needed to rebuild my 4g63 anyway could i just use aftermarket gear to make it a turbo like all the parts listed in the conversion except high performance ones? would i beable top get 400hp out of it

and what parts would i need to get 400+ hp out of it

i ask cause before i go and blow my wad on a new buschur racing engine i want to beef up my 1st gen which has a 4g63 in it but its not turbo

at 400hp you might want to consider a fwd turbo transmission as well since i have only found one clutch that can hold that kind of power on the nt flywheel, not to mention i don't even know if the nt tranny will handle that kind of power yet.

also to do the swap, buy the engine, the tranny, and all the parts to get it to run taht fast reliably, expect to spend the money.

400hp is damned expensive. and that's assuming your car is in great shape as far as standard wear items go, and that'd be on stock suspension, brakes, rims, tires, interior, exterior. all that just keeps on adding up as well.

around $6000 dollars, significantly cheaper, but you have to do the work yourself, and none of this includes the miscellaneous parts like the ECU, SAFC or whatever a/f controller you choose, MAF able to handle it, injector resistor pack, etc, etc, like he said its expensive, my point though is that you can do it with the engine you already have rather than having to swap in a new one

very good point, i left off building his block up since he seemed so set on a buschur racing engine.

i would easily suspect that by the time i get my new clutch and injectors in i'll be almost $4000 into my setup with a bunch of used parts including a $300 16g and ported o2 housing.

i figured it would be easier to take the new engine and stuff and just bring it to a mech and say "hey put this in"

what would be the diff if i decided to keep it as an auto and would i be able to go tiptronic? ( i think that would be sweet but prolly not possible)
the money thing im not really worried about i woult even go as far as buying someones car if i thought it was taken well enuff care of but you never know how some people treat there cars till 4 weeks after you buy it from them if u guys have any suggestions on what parts to buy ill make sure to mention your names on the inside plaque of my car

there is a way to activate your automatic in a manner such as that, but in order to make it as fancy as a tiptronic would cost you more than changing it over to manual.

ok decided to build my current engine uphere are the questions i have money isnt an object

which internal engine parts should i get names would help cause i dont knwo much about engine parts and
i know i need pistons and rods which ones tho?
what about the compresion ratio?
what kind of cams?
should i get that knife edge crack from buschur?
lets say im just buying the internals and not getting them installed till i get them all
should i waiti till i get all the stuff for the turbo also?
what should i get big 16g or a 20g? i kow what basic parts i need liek intercooler, intake, boost controller, and boost guage and turbo what else would i need i have lots of question cause i dont know all i know anything about engines

well you'll need an AFC to change your fuel setup, larger fuel injectors, high volume fuel pump, better fuel pressure regulator. I'd probably add A/F gauge & maybe intake temp and exhaust temp depending on how much you want to know about what's gonig on in your car. Oil Pressure gauges are always nice to have too. larger radiator for sure, upgrade the spark wires & (drawing a blank here)the box that sends power to the plug, probably need to change the thermostat out as well, Might want to look at getting the cylinders sleeved depending on what kind of boost you're looking at running, possibly an oil cooler, new clutch for sure as well...that's all I can think of off the top of my head that my friends have done with their turbo cars (generally speaking of course). If you wanna aim high you gotta spend high.
