A couple of questions.

Background. I plan on turboin my n/t but not til a rebuild is done. ive been checkin into howell and their bottom end kits. i don't plan on installing this myself. I'm having a shop do it.

1. i've called like 4 shop and they tell me they can't give me a warr. if i use other parts but their own. does howell give a warr. regarding their products or do i have to wish for the best and hope nothing gets messed up.

2. i plan on getting the 8.6 piston w/20 bore size. could someone explain what bore size is. i know that when you bore a part, your taking a bit off the sides to make it new. but does the 8.6 w/20 boresize mean the piston is going to be made wider to fit?

3. what sizes should i get for the main, rod and rod bearing?they give you options.

ok heres what I got so far. I called shop an d they told me they can gimmie a warr. on the job as long as the parts are new. The guy (Ben..really cool guy) told me that i would have to give him the bottom end first. then after boring they would give me the specs on what i sizes i need to get. pretty straightforward i guess. the install is runnin me 650.00.The shop doesn't take out the motor so i gotta find a place they can take it out and put it back in. I called this one place and they want 500.00 for the extraction . That kills question 3 and 1 i guess. Still need an answer for #2. kinda confused about what they do to the piston.

bore size is how wide your cylinders are, boring a cylinder is increasing its size,and you need bigger pistons to fill bigger holes.
