Is there anywhere I can find a IC Piping kit online? I'm trying to figure out if I absolutely have to take the route of going to one of the shops in town and taking it up the ass...If I can avoid it I will. Anyone have any ideas on where to find a premade kit for a side-to-side FMIC setup on the 420a? Thanks.

I don't have a welder and I believe most if not all the kits on Ebay are the type you have to cut and weld...they just give you random piping at different angles and you try to puzzle a kit together from that...Am I wrong?

I use Mitsubishi Evolution Intercooler Kits! You'll need a full kit if you dont want to do any customizing. I had one on my 98 Black Eclipse GS... loved it!

Would also like to see pics of the Evo setup. Maybe I can upgrade both intercoolers at once new for evo and evo for eclipse :)

To the OP (even though I know this fairly old) You either just use couplers, or piece the piping together yourself and then have the shop weld it up for you

I'll be taking some pics of how my intercooler piping looks connected together and off of the car so people can get an idea of how it can be routed. Waiting for the eclipse to go to the bodyshop first.

Do you have any pictures of the engine bay, or perhaps picture/link to the kit you got?

This was the day I installed my kit... except this WASNT a full kit. Meaning I had to make the lower pipe for the Intake Side... Kinda sucked but oh well...I had a short ram intake layin around that I used... But after having a CAI on my car... I'd say make your own with a Cold Air Intake and a lower (turbo side) Evo IC Pipe. Thats probably what I'll do this time around.

Upper Pipe with Tial 50mm BOV.

Lower Pipe.

I'm needing the pipe that goes from the upper pipe to the intercooler! Haha, I paid 120 or something for these and 125 for a stock evo intercooler, and just found the entire XSPower IC pipe kit with XSPower evo intercooler (aftermarket) for 180! I'm a dud!

And here's a link to a photo of my car way before the turbo... with the CAI... you can somewhat see how it runs and you can visulize how the IC pipes will work with that thread on 2GNT about how to run the IC Pipes. http://img65.imageshack.us/my.php?image=im0003241ke.jpg

I was looking on Total's Writeup and also found the link to people's FMIC setup. A lot of good pictures.

Me and Corey (cs82865) basically just added a bunch of pics of member's setups on there so people can get an idea how to do their own setup. If anyone wants to add their pics to it and is a member, just log into the wiki and upload the pics :thumb:

Werd up.

Also, I am interested in some more pics of your EVO 8 IC setup, how did you bolt it up?

I just bolted it up the exact way an Evo does... it all lines up properly. but I dont have photos. I lost my camera for a while and then thats when the car was seized by APD. So I never got to take photos of the car while it was running.
