Exhaust for a Rs going turbo?

Ok I am about to get a catback exhaust and I was concerned about the size. If I am correct a non turbo should use 2.5" exhaust and a turbo should use 3"?? Well If I am going to get a Hahn Stage 2 should I just get the 3" now? I am thinking I might lose a little speed now but it will save me in the end from having to replace it?? Please help.

be careful your valves don't start lifting because theres not enough back pressure.

Well i'm going with the Apex'i N1, but a lot of people like the Thermal R&D. A really good exhaust is the RSR (yes you still can get it). Remember you ahve to be pushing some major air for a 3in, so depending what turbo you go with (hahn stage to you might not want a 3in) will make a difference on exhaust choices.

A 16g I'd go with 2.5 to 2.75
A 20g would be like 2.5 to 2.75 and maybe 3 too
I run a T04E which needs 3in just to breath, so like I said it's the turbo size that matters.

i have the hahnracecraft stage 2 turbo kit for a year now and it is ver wise to get the exhaust for the kit asap you will lose a lot if you dont get it right away your boost will be lower than usual because you are having back pressure you dont need anymore! and i bought the hks hiper exhaust 3" manderal bend and it is a straight as possible all you would need is someone in your area that could customise a downpipe for you actually you can go from the dp they give you and get a section put in to the cats/exhaust system go to mvpmotorsports.com any exhaust system will work as long as it for front wheel drive car rs/gs/gst!!
you will see a great amount of change it is highly recommended~~

It depends how much power you want to make. If your going to stay rather mild, get the 2.5. If your getting serious, go 3 inch.
