Well i ave a 96 tsi thats totaled in the garage- but all my parts are good on it, so i went out and baught a 95 gs with the 420a but it died on the ladie and it wont strat wht could be wrong ? i only paid 1500 for it and the body is in perfect shape and the interior too no dents! and 80000 miles so does anybody know? and i would like to buy a 420a motor os of someone thnx nick
 
Okay, don't let me jump the gun, but it sounds like your trying to put your TSI stuff into that GS 2g body??? Definately should search that topic if thats what you've got planned.

Anyways I could use another tranny off the motor so If you want to part it out that way then shoot me a PM with a price.
 
no im just gonna put another 420a motor in it and turbo it but im parting out my tsi so u want the tranny? just sh
 
you would be better off just putting in your old engine, the 420a costs too much to upgrade to get enough psi into the engine from a turbo, and you would be paying to get the engine installed anyway, so just pull it and put it in the new car, then part out anything you still dont need. maybe the new engine you got is not permanently messed up, find out some more info on how it messed up and what kind of weather, how long she was driving, etc.

rainy weather may mean hydrolocked, hot may be overheated, if the body really is mint, then nice find for the 1500 you paid, you may be able to sell the tranny for 700 and part out your old car to cover all the costs or maybe make a bit of profit
 
THe tranny he wanted, is for the 420A, not the one you have in the TSi :thumb:

As for you theif. You may need to do a bit more searching as well before posting in the forums. Looks like you're recommending he put the TSi motor in his GS, which of course is a big :nono: that you will soon find out about. It also looks like you're just quoting what someone else told you about turboing 420A(probably a turbo owner haha) in saying that they don't handle enough PSI to make much power, which they do not handle that much, but 5 less PSI than a GS-T puts out as much power as a stock GS-T. Well there's more to that I just can't remember because i'm on many pain killers from my surgery, but i'm sorry if I came off as an ass(which I doubt I did because even if I try I don't usually).

Anyways if you turbo that GS it's totally up to you, just do some reading in the N/T-Turbo conversion forums and find out as much as you can. The project definitely isn't a walk in the park, but it's not TOO hard..I mean I did it haha.
