My friend told me that he did is oil return to the breather coming out of the valve cover? is this a good idea? i never thought of it, and dont really wanna tap my oil pan in fear of a leak..

is it smart to go there? would it be okay?

thanks

That's not a good idea at all, that line needs to go downward so gravity can do it's job. Placing it there could back the turbo up with oil and cause major problems. Stick to the oil pan. Get a fitting braized into it. Braizing is basically welding, just with a brass fitting and attatch your line to that. You will be leak free my friend. I would ask to see your friends set up before you believe it.

In conclusion, no it isn't ok to go there, and no it isn't safe.

Goodluck with your setup!

dont fear leaking from the pan where you drilled. if you braze or weld and it leaks, just put some jbweld around the outside of the fitting and itll harden into metal. its like 4 bucks at autozone.

if you get a o2 sensor bung and weld it to the pan it works great. its steel so it welds nice and i think it is 5/8 npt so home depot plumbing fittings work good.

What had done was a hole drilled and then a fitting on the inside/outside of the pan that bolts together. The only thing is I still have a leak. I tried resealing it twice and the bi*** still leaks, welding is in my future.
