I recently turboed my 420a.. Here's a quick parts list.

Rebuild Head Stroked to 2.2l
Weisco Forged Pistons
Eagle Rods
T4 Greddy Turbo Kit, Greddy Intercooler / BOV, exc. external wastegate
550cc injectors
SAFC
Stage 4 clutch

Right now im running at 12psi. Im kinda clueless at the hp, and thats my first question, any clue as to about what HP im running at 12psi?

I was waiting till i got my E-manage system / Wideband 02 before i boosted higher.. Also, do I need a turbo ecu/ eprom?

Just looking for any suggestions as to what to get next. My goal is to run 12's in the upcoming weeks.

Thanks for any help

you can't run a turbo ecu in your 420a. sounds like when you get your wide band and emanage you will be good to go. might want to look into lsd. watch your egt and afr so you don't go boom.

I was hoping to eventually go with bigger injectors.... I dont need to do anything to my ecu? just get the emanage and ill be fine?

i am going to run a sfmu 440cc injectors and a safc2. i can run up to 18 psi safely. there is nothing you can do about your ecu unless you go with a standalone. at least thats my understanding.

Yeah the e-mange is just fine or a stand alone. I'm going your route as well, except I'm adding the e-01 boost controller to it so I can adjust fuel and boost according. (especially for launches, low boost to high boost).

Who told you that, just out of curiousity? Not saying their wrong, I just don't know all I'd like to know about fuel systems yet.

So you're getting the e-manage and the e-01? Which e-manage are you thinking about going with?

suieclipse used that same setup for awhile and ran up to 21 psi some where around 287 whp on a dyno. so i would say 15 to 18 tuned would be safe. make sure you have a wideband though and a egt.

I probably would go with the new ultimate if I could afford it. But I can't because I'm buying the e-01 as well, and I just like the idea of my boost and fuel being controlled in conjuction with each other as I get up to speed.

I was also talking with my tuning guy who was explaing something that he's noticed in a couple of the NA- turbo cars he's worked on. Siting another problem with not having a stand a lone system.
He suggested I get a pressure switch (or a 02 emulator) so that my stock ecu would think its constantly at Wide Open Throttle, thus it wouldn't try to change the air fuel mixture as it would normally on a closed loop. So by using one of these devices the ecu would pick the last fuel map, and stop looking at certiain sensors and stop trying to adjust fuel curves. Which will let your tuning program (in my case e-mange) adjust what you tell it to adjust.

Just a quick note on the SFMU, Injector, SFMU. I've read and heard that fuel set up was only good up to a point. And that point was about 15psi as anything past that you have too much timing being advanced by the stock ecu. I don't know if its true, but I"m sure there are things you can do to stop the timing advances.
