I've got the BEGi rising rate fuel pressure regulator, and was wondering if anyone had any input about it. Only like two threads came up when I searched for it, and I know most people with rising rates run the Vortech 12:1 FMU. I'm just curious, cause they defintely look different, and the BEGi seems to have some adjustments on it that I don't believe the Vortech does...such as: the rate of gain of fuel pressure versus boost pressure (which I think is like the different FMU disks) and the adjustment of fuel pressure at the atmospheric pressure point.

The Cartech isn't really a regulator, its more of a riser. The Vortech S-FMU would be a lot better for adjusment as the Cartech will never get a stable static fuel pressure.

I didn't say I wanted adjustability and fine tuning, this is the same scenario as a 12:1 Vortech runnin like 7lbs of boost. I was just mentioning that it has some little adjustments that the vortech does not. It's said right in the name: "rising rate" fuel pressure regulator (aka fmu). This thread is not in any way comparing the one I have to the S-FMU. BEGi has a different adjustable multi-role regulator that is the comparable model to the Vortech. This one is still used in series with the stock fuel pressure regulator, and does not take the place of it controlling static fuel pressure like the S-FMU.

I posted a link so everyone could read about it and make their own comparisons to the Vortech FMUs. Does anyone with this regulator installed and working properly have any input for me?

I have it, it does its job.

Cool, now that's what I'm talkin bout :p

Are you running stock injectors still, and how much boost?

from experience it does alright with stock inj but once you swap to larger inj the cartech becomes pretty unstable.i had it and didn't like it.

Yes im running the stock injectors, daily 5 PSI. I have had it at 10 PSI with no problems however, im planning to switching to the S-FMU just for the more fine tuning.

Well, i'm only plannin on using it in low boost application with stock injectors. After rebuild, turning up the boost and bigger injectors equals megasquirt all the way :thumb:
