yes he is mistaken it add and subtract fuel (rich or lean) your fuel mix it would be a good thing to add its will be a safe gaurd :D
just my .02

no BigRand is 100% correct, you can only subtract fuel with the s-afc, not add it. i know your a 95, which means you dont need a missing link, but why do you think we need a missing link for the other years? because we have a 1 bar MAP sensor and if the ecu sees a positive pressure signal from the MAP sensor(4.9v is the most it will show), it gives you fuel cut and a CEL. now, try and raise the MAP sensor voltage while the voltage is at 4.9(how the s-afc changes fuel curves). you raise that voltage, the computer isnt going to increase injector pulse, its gonna give you fuel cut. we get the missing link or fcd to prevent the voltage from reaching above 4.7v. now if you try and increase fuel with the s-afc, you will raise the voltage past 4.7 and bang, fuel cut.

now, your 95 which means you wont get the fuel cut and the CEL, but still your ecu is not going to keep increasing injector pulse because the voltage of the MAP sensors will stop at 4.9v. its just gonna keep it the same. besides, you cant increase the fuel enough by strictly increasing injector pulse, you need to raise the pressure or injector size also.

I guess Safc and fmu it is...........

walbro fuel pump -104
safc II -250
fmu im getting from a friend -60

total 414.............ouch gettin a lil expensive for the fuel system.

New turbo , turbo manifold, i/c-850

i/c piping, couplers, bov, oil supply, flanges.....300

grand total 1564 ouch........should have gotten a new turbo kit by a company intead of making it myself LOL!

you don't need the safc unless your using larger injectors (36lb or higher) you would only use it to lean out some of the extra fuel at idel, i'm running 400cc injectors with just the vortech sfmu(15 idel fuel pressure)and i don't have an safc.if i were u i would just get the sfmu if you don't want to spend a whole lot on your fuel setup.

Well it all depends on how apt you are, if you don't want to spend a lot of money on a fuel set up, I would suggest getting the SAFC, because if you plan on getting tuned your gonna want something to tune your car with. Anything else is going to be more expensive.

250.00 to 300.00 for an safc is alot of money to be spending tuneing stock injectors at 6psi of boost.with stock injectors your gonna need more fuel and all the safc does is leans it out(lean to much means rebuild time).with the sfmu u can raise or lower ur idel fuel pressure if more or less fuel is required.if you have the money to spend then get the safc for fine tuning but you don't really need it for stock inj at 6psi of boost.

All I know is the difference between tuned and untuned is like night and day. I'm running rich like a mtf right now (widband has the lamda ratio at .78-.85 when I'm at WOT). I'm getting tuned on June 11th and can't wait to be just that much more faster.
I know I felt the power difference when I tuned my SAFC on my NT (power gains were minimal but you could feel it).
Your right though if money is that tight, then the SFMU would be the way to go, but if your were gonna spend your money on trying to make the car go faster after, you might as well buy an SAFC now and tune it to get the real power at the right RPMs.

Check the classifieds I think you can get one for around 200 bones now
