my setup for traction I am thinking of getting

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33590

This is basically what I am looking into getting. I am very ignorant with this and was recommended by a friend to get these. I am very worried about my tranny going since I can't afford that so my hopes of getting full slicks r overwith for a long time. Is that good suspension for the track. I hear it is not good for the streets and someone else said it would help kill my tranny!? I am going to buy stage III axles probably, was thinking of stage II but don't wanna risk it. I plan to have around 300whp i hope. Figure 320 to 340whp at the most (I mean thats pushing it bigtime but just in case I plan to upgrade in the future). Any help would be appreciated like I said I'm very ignorant with this and if anyone has anything they think will be better please feel free to suggest it.

Edit: also I hear our tranny is weak because of the pin from our differential and u can weld the pin in place?

I was hoping I could use slicks but i'm scared about the transmission not being able to handle it. I know someone who blew his at 16psi with drag radials at the track. But then again I hear our transmissions r very strong?

I believe most people would prefer getting the adjustable Tokico Illuminas over the regular HPs. I myself bought something similar to that, the Tokico Advanced Handling Suspension Kit, which came with the Illuminas and I believe the same springs...I couldn't be happier! All just depends on if you want to spend that little bit of extra money I guess, IMO it is very worth it.

As for the slicks and the tranny, I haven't gotten that far yet with my baby, so I'll have to let someone with a little more knowledge help ya out in that area. Good luck

thanx! I am limited with money but I think I will def. be getting this suspension, my stock suspension just isn't cutting it. This suspension is mostly to lessen the stress on the tranny, right now this is my prime worry since I will be going to the track soon and I'm still contemplating whether to get slicks or drag radials.

No problem man, a new suspension is great...you'll see

Don't know exactly how much you were looking to spend, but here you go: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...=WDVW&tc=photo From the same seller, that's the exact setup I upgraded to. If you're willing to throw down the extra $100, you'll have the flexibility of stiffening the shocks for track use and softening them up whenever you want as well

I guess you could save a little money going that route. Most threads I've read about since I've been on here seem to say that the Illumina's are better than the AGX's for our cars. Don't just take my word for it though. If you do a search or just go skimming through the handling forum, you'll find more than enough info. to make your own informed decision
