Few Small Questions

I was reading up on the N/T to Turbo conversion. I am still confused. I know what a Knock sensor does buy why is it necessary to convert your car to turbo? Also I unpluffed my MAF sensor to make room for a CAI. It seems to run fine. If I go turbo is this going to be a problem? I still have it but now it doesn't want to run right with it, haha. Thanks for any help you can give me.

By the way my car is a 1991 Eagle Talon

there must be something else wrong with your car, b/c when i unplugged my maf sensor my car stuttered and eventually stalled. i had to have the maf when i did my CAI
