rebuild question?

Do u see any hp/trq gains from just building the motor with rods and pistions(with rings)? Now I"m talking about a ratio of like 8:8:1 low compression for a future turbo set up. Would I see a gain if I did the rebuild and drove it like that before I got the turbo?

...CLOSED, heh. search for bottom end. question answered is NO. it just makes your shit stronger so you can hold boost and not blow a rod thru the hood.
