Okat guys, I'm buliding my 420A finally I was wondering if I should go 8.8:1 or 10.0:1, I will have crower starge 1 cams, crower valves, eagle rods, AEM cam gears and a custon Super T3/T4 turbo kit that JDM2 performance is hooking me up with. Also what kind of fuel management should I go with. AEM or FASt stand alone, or if there are any others that you guys knw of. Please let me know if there is anything I should change or add and oh yeah the modern performance 60mm throttle body is it worth it????

bigger throttle bodies are always good. 8.8:1 would be better suited for turbo. you could manage the 10:1 pistons with dead on tuning, but you still can't run as much boost as you cuold w/ a 8.8:1 setup.

Thanks for the info on that

Guys is the Fast DFI Fuel Management a good system or is their something better that I should use

Seriously man, if you are asking that kinda question ( and no malice or hate meant towards you ), you need to do more bit more research on blown cars. You should also check out 2gnt.com if you have not already, and read by searching. There is a SHITLOAD of info on our cars over there. ANYTHING and MORE than you would ever want to know.

To answer your questions:

8.8:1 would be the better compression for you. Its the "easier" and "safer" way to biuld an engine. You CAN run higher compression pistons, BUT you have to pay more attention and be more careful in tuning.

AEM does not have a EMS system for our cars. Someone over at 2gnt is working on making it work wiring-wise.
Others are the 034EIC 8-injector setup, and the Mega-squirt. The latter looks to be the most promising coming up here soon.

Modern Performance throttle body would be a good upgrade. But remember, more air needs more fuel. So make sure you account for that.

Good luck!

I'm the one doing the AEM EMS conversion and let me tell you what a pain it is... I feel like the test subject to a experiment...Oh well, torquefreaks says that I'm going crap my pants once they tell me what it pulls on the dyno..I guess we will see.. :thumb:

Look for MrSlick at 2gnt he is the man for the megasquirt

Does The AEM EMS WOrk on the 420A Motor

Need:

Custom wiring harness
Move your stock PCM inside the passenger compartment
Lots of $ to buy parts (EMS,MAP sensor, intake temp sensor, AEM Wideband, big ass injectors, AEM 1:1 FPR)
crank/cam pick up
more $ to tune on the dyno.....

speaking from personal experience...
