so, i have been thinking about replacing the cartech fpr that came with my HRC kit
been asking questions about fuel lines, regulators etc and i believe that i am going to go ahead and do the repalcement. i am considering the aeromotive A1000 Injected Bypass Regulator, P/N 13101, does it just replace the cartech. currently there is an input line to the fpr from the fuel pump and an outlet to the fuel rail. will i need to do anything different to the aermotive or just mount it where the cartech used to be and plug the fuel in and out hoses into the new regulator

I finally figured out my fuel line thing
after taking out my IC piping and battery i found the other end of my fuel rail. The fuel in side is on the left of the rail
my return line is on right side of the rail next to the battery

if i get the aeromotive do i leave the return line where it is or move it to the aeromotive return port?

and most importantly which aeromotive do i get. i do not want to mount anything to the rail
so i can leave all the lines exactly like they are on my cartech
i was thinking the a1000 injected bypass.

is the aem universal as good as the aeromotive

sorry for all of the questions
just trying to figure out this stuff

ok no one knows the answer to my question so let me ask it in another way

why does every install i see for a fpr, the aeromotive especially say mount the fpr after the fuel rail with the return line coming from the fpr and my setup is the exact opposite

in my setup the fuel line comes from the fpr to the rail and the return goes from the rail to the tank

can i still use an aeromotive fpr with this setup

i talked to hahn and the fuel system was setup correctly (paraphrased the technical answer about early vs late model was a little much to follow exactly)

but that still doesnt tell me why my fuel setup is different than everyone elses

heres a pic of my cartech fpr and return setup

nevermind
i am a moron
i woke up this moron and the answer hit me like a ton of bricks
i am completely backwards
the hard line bolted to my fuel rail is the in line from the pump
the line going into and out of my cartech is the return

because why would the lower pressure return line be hard metal while the high pressure from the pump is rubber line
answer because i must have smoked crack before i started looking at it
