I just got the kit this week and i need some help. Does anyone know if the kit came with the flange for the downpipe to the turbo at all. i cant find it. and second what is the black mini box that came with the hks bypass value, i put a greddy BOV on instead. do i need that box then. I think i will have more questions in a couple hours, but almost done just need to do the fuel part.
Thanks

No there isn't a flange or gasket that goes betwwen the down pipe and the turbo I just put mine on and had the same thing. The lil black box should have 4 wires on it. that goes to the map sensor. I put mine on but my check engine light came on with a MAP sensor reading.. I would just buying a missing link. :thumb:

I heard that boost can damage our MAP sensor, is this true? You think it would be better to get the missing link instead of using that little trick box?

I just used some gasket copper silicone that is 700 temp, but will probley just burn up anyway for the downpipe to turbo. Do i have to hook up the black box or is it a must. For boost config. Let me know i will order the missing link then too.

I would defintely use the black box. I would prolly would go using both so that incase the box goes your car won't freak out on ya. I had a wire disconnect and the cpu started freaking out once boost was showing. I have ordered my missing link just waiting on it now..

on your map sensor there is a yellow/black stripe wire on it. you must cust that one and use the green and white wires inline. the green wire must be on the ecu side and the white wire goes on the side from the map sensor. red wire goes to an ingition on off wire and the black is to ground.

Thanks Man i took it out for a test drive tonight and the black box wasnt hooked up yet, but was running fine. But on the way home my engine check light went on, but eveything was running fine, i think i just messed up the intake sensor, or something so i hook the box in tomorrow and will be looking at the missing link then too. I have no expericnce with the bov, that i got instead of the bpv it is a greddy type s and i am reading up on how to set it up correctly, it is on but is not making a loud wissssh sound but i think i got it figured out in my head let me know if anyone has a good way to explain that and i makeing sure i have my wastgate wires hooked up right too. Newbe sorry.

Thanks

hello i have a star performance turbo kit for my eclipse 97..it came with out intructions...i need to know what hoses go were on the wastegate. it have two hose fitting i need to know what each side is located and were it goes connected too

i know this is an old post, but i figured i'd let u guys know what should go between the downpipe and the turbo. no gasket should be used, u are suposed to get the flang surfaced true flat, the trubo should already be, then get this sealant called "the right stuff" put it between then bolt together. true flat surfaces with the high temp sealant will make zero leaks. if your lazy and or cheap buy the gasket will work but not as well. if you have a disagrement feel free to call innovative there always happy to set people straight.

Thought u guys should know.
