im workin on a 95 gs, and the yellow ring that runs my speed sensor somehow fell itself off of its race. so i was told to just pull the bellhousing off and stick it back on. i did that and now the bellhousing wont line back up. the three shift linkage posts that set inside of the b/h wont go in. i have already ruined one of the shims by trying to press fit it together. can i run without that or am i down until i can get a new one? and, is there a trick for putting this back together? i'm starting to get really frustrated. any help is great...trust

okay, round two. i had a guy at the local race shop get me the shim and put the tranny back together. i finished putting it back in the car last night and it still doesn't work. i took the speed sensor back out and rolled the car to ensure it is moving, and it is. i took the bottom half of the sensor and put it in first to ensure proper engagement with that yellow ring, and it is. so this f-n thing should work now but it won't accelerate properly. it's like the clutch is slipping at about 2k rpms. the car won't even make it out of the driveway. but it doesn't stink like the clutch is slipping. if anybody has any insight that would be great. i'm thinking about getting the pt tranny cuz i've read it has more torque anyway. "lil help here?" bueler? - bueler? - buuueeelllerrrrr?????

allrighty then, i pulled out the speed sensor again to find the yellow gear off it's race again. so, tomorrow night i'll be droppin' tranny... once again. i think it would be wiser to install the sensor in two halfs, the bottom half first to align with the yellow gear and the hole that the bottom half of the sensor sits in, then drop in the top half of the sensor and bolt in place. the lessons you learn...trust
