exhaust manifold porting?

I was thinking of porting out my stock manifold and if all turns out maybe progress to my intake manifold. The question is, is it worth my time for a few extra( free) ponies or is the gain not enough to justify the work?

just buy some headers and dont mess with the manifold unless you've got some exprience

Although it seems like a simple, straightforward process -hog out some iron, make hole bigger- if you're not a veteran of porting and have a flowbench to really measure what you're doing, don't bother. Port-matching is about as far as a home garage can go, and will give the best payoff for the effort, along with the least liklihood of effing something up.

Save up the money for a good header. It'll wind up being cheaper.

thanks 4 the input guys I guess I will leave her alone. It would be just my luck messing with it and end up breaking the head off a bolt or something worse. Thanks again.

hey i forgot to tell you i got my intake manifold honed about by extrude hone.com they charged like 300 bucks but it was an excellent job.
