3" Apexi N1 Cat-Back Exhaust

I was wonderin if it was possible to attach a 3" cat-back apexi N1 system to a 97 Eclipse GS. If i replaced the cat-converter to 3" and just had an adapter for the downpipe wouldnt that would so I could have a larger exhaust pipe?
If anyone out there knows if it possible just post, or if someone's done that before how did u do it.

Do you have a turbo kit?

If not, 3" exhaust might be a little big...not enough backpressure.

Turbo kit is in the mail right now, should be here in the next couple of days

It will fit, dont worry about it.

Also FYI, backpressure is never needed. What you want is to maintain a high exhaust gas velocity.

without backpressure, you may gain hp...but lose torque...
