So yeah I did a whole bunch of research and can't seem to find anything about this turbo kit, or instalation anyways:( Has anybody done it here? I decided to go with this kit because I got it for a really good deal from London, my bro lives there and got it for me, but anyways. I am getting my car compresssion tested tommorow. And I am getting a 3 inch exchaust sytem. What I need to know is, if my car checks out with the compression (126000 miles:cry: on it) I know this is alot of miles for a turbo but what the heck. Besides the turbo kit, would I need to replace anything else, I just put a new clucth in and I have to fix me rear-end seal really soon ( got a pretty bad leak) Should I replace the fuel injectors? what size? The kit has a intank fuel pump with, should I put something else in instead? What about a underdrive pulley and adjustable cam gears? I would really appreciate some good advice(remember I am in college with a tight budget) thanks alot

Yeah I know thanks, but the instalation is for the Hahn kit:cry: I know they have them for sale there but thats not the problem, what is worrying me is if I install this turbo on my car with the amount of miles on it would there be something that I should just replace even beforeit broke? thanks I really appreciate everything on this site it helps me alot and if I dont have anything to do I can jus tsit and read the forums for hours and learn new stuff:thumb:

if you are worrying about miles like i am, then look into getting a rebuilt bottom end from howell or fty racing. when you get a rebuilt bottom end, you basically have 0 miles on your engine. add to that the fact that you will have forged internals which allows you to have a higher psi on your car without worrying about the engine blowing up:dsm:

So yeah I came to the conclusion it would be better for me to replace both my top and bottom end:thumbdown , before I can put my stageII kit on. But look at the bright side at least my engine would be like new. Has anybody used the howell performance kits?? The reason why I ask is what kind of boost would I be able to run after I put both kits in. thanks again:thumb:

Well you don't need to touch the top end to install the kit. You could replace all that but really the only thing you need to do is get a valve job and check everything else to make sure it's ok. As for power, the parts in the bottom kit will hold over 650 HP so I think you will be ok. To be honest with you though I would turbo first and buy the rebuild items and boost on your stock bottom end first, that way you can get used to a turbo car before you start worring about making power, but that's just me. As for directions on the star kit, just use Hahns directions. All the parts go in the same place for the most part it's really not that hard.

thanks again for all the advice. Yeah believe me I do not want to replace the top end either-no money for things like that. But I took my car to get compression tested and I had a oil leak, I hoped for it to be something like a main seal but they said its the head gasket and also asking me $900 to fix, so I told them theres no I am spending that. ONe of my roomates is really good with engines so we are going to do it ourselves since he has done it before. So if my head is a little damaged and i get that resurfaced there is no need for me to replace my top end just yet??? Sweet. thanks

Talk about being lucky. I told you guys that I was in the process of buying my star stage II kit from a guy off Ebay. But he did not have any feedback or what soever but he only wanted $1000 bucks for the kit. When I told im I wanted it he told me I should wire the money to him through Western Union, kinda worried ( I got screwed before out of $2000) I asked were he is from and he said London. So I jumped on this opertunity cause my brother lives there. He gave me an address so my brother can go over there and check it out and pay for it. Guy seemed really nice, but when my brother got there is was a fake address with a bunch of wharehouses. I tried to get a hold off the dude but he changed his email address. I went back to ebay and saw he as the kit up for auction again under a different name. So yeah lesson learned if it seems to be to good to be true it's probably is. So be careful out there. BUt now I am without my turbo kit and there is no way I can spend $3k on one :thumbdown dammit. Anybody know of a really, really good deal for a stage II??
